Updated Electronic Statistics Textbook Now Available StatSoft has freely provided the Electronic Statistics Textbook as a public service for more than 12 years now. Statistics directly or indirectly shape our lives. Government policies are made based on unemployment and underemployment statistics. Americans have new breast cancer screening recommendations because of statistics. We also sell a printed statistics textbook because some people prefer this format. The printed and electronic statistics textbook contain practical information on many subjects. For example, we cover topics such as introduction to statistical concepts, data mining, basic statistics, data visualization and statistical definitions. It is helpful to the novice and advanced statistics user.

Utilise StatSoft’s Services in 2010: Get More Impact from STATISTICA! If you already use STATISTICA, then you already know about the flexibility of its configurations: Analysis Configurations and Report Configurations in STATISTICA Enterprise and STATISTICA Visual Basic for automation throughout all STATISTICA products. It is commonly the case that more value is derived with greater levels of integration and automation specific to your business needs. To that end, StatSoft’s Professional Services group offers the following categories of services, each one illustrated with examples of recent projects … Configuration Services - StatSoft recently completed a project that involved the configuration of STATISTICA Enterprise with applicable Data Configurations to databases and the compatible Analysis and Report Configurations to provide automated Web-based trending via QC Charts and Process Capability Analysis. Training Services - StatSoft recently delivered the following customized on-site training courses: STATISTICA Visual Basic, Multivariate Data Analysis, and Automated Trending Using WebSTATISTICA and the STATISTICA Monitoring and Alerting Server (MAS). Consulting Services - StatSoft recently led the analytics work in a short pilot project to demonstrate the usefulness of text mining in an application for which the company had only used numerical data in the past. Validation Services - StatSoft recently completed a project for a Pharmaceutical company in which the StatSoft team delivered project documentation specific to the intended use of STATISTICA (including the Requirements Specification, the Design Specification, and the System Test Cases) and executed the STATISTICA installation and the System Test Cases. Standardizing the Z Axis Color Scheme across Multiple 3-D Graphs Comparing information across multiple plots is a common task. One thing that makes these comparisons easier is common axis scaling. Some three-dimensional plots, such as surface and contour plots, use colours to distinguish levels of the Z axis. This article demonstrates how to achieve a common colour coding system for multiple three-dimensional plots. Of course, categorized graphs in STATISTICA will automatically produce multiple plots, all utilizing the same scale. But, the data may not be structured such that a categorized graph is applicable, or for other reasons it may be more desirable or practical to create individual graphs, while maintaining the same scale across all. This task often requires graph customization. Here, we’ll show how to determine and define the z axis scaling and colour scheme. |
